ST. LOUIS -- After another brief respite in the schedule, the Wild will resume its franchise-record seven-game road swing on Saturday when it faces the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center.
Minnesota began its stretch away from home by splitting back-to-back games in Vancouver and Edmonton on Monday and Tuesday before traveling home for two days off. The Wild practiced in St. Paul on Friday before flying to Missouri, where it will play its division rivals for the first time this season. But it won't be long before the clubs meet here again; Minnesota and St. Louis will play again eight days after Saturday's meeting when the Wild closes it's road trip here on Nov. 11.

Bruce Boudreau on breaking up road trip

The Blues enter play Saturday in last place in the Central Division, trailing first-place Nashville by nine points in the standings and the Wild by five points. St. Louis has been trending in the right direction, however, winning its past two games and posting a 3-1-1 record in its past five.
"They're starting to play like they're capable of," said Wild coach Bruce Boudreau. "They're probably feeling pretty good, so it's going to be a good test for us in that building."
St. Louis was one of the winners of the offseason, bringing in reinforcements down in the middle by trading for Ryan O'Reilly from Buffalo and signing Tyler Bozak away from Toronto.

Matt Hendricks on return from injury

O'Reilly leads the Blues in scoring with 12 assists and 15 points in 11 games while Bozak has gotten off to a slow start with three goals and six points. Vladimir Tarasenko has six goals to lead St. Louis in that category.
