The essentials

ST. LOUIS -- The Wild will conclude its franchise-record seven-game road trip on Sunday afternoon when it faces the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center.
It's the second time in the span of eight days the Central Division rivals will play each other in St. Louis; Minnesota secured a 5-1 win here on Nov. 3.
In that game, the Wild jumped ahead to an early 2-0 lead on goals by Eric Staal and Nick Seeler, also getting a tally from JT Brown to take a 3-1 lead into the first intermission. Matt Dumba scored in the second and Eric Fehr added a third-period marker.
Minnesota continued its trip after that with a swing through California, losing 4-3 against the San Jose Sharks Tuesday before following with wins in Los Angeles and Anaheim on Thursday and Friday.
The Wild has already assured itself of a winning road trip, having posted a 4-2-0 record on its trip so far, one that began in Vancouver on Oct. 29.
"It's a long stretch away. It's a lot of road games, and we want to make sure we're good on the road," said Wild forward Jason Zucker. "We feel we're a really good home team. We feel we have a great home-ice advantage, but we gotta make sure we're .500 or better on the road throughout the season. Right now we're doing a good job but we gotta keep our foot on the petal and play well and keep pushing."
The Blues have rebounded well since the loss to Minnesota last weekend, winning 4-1 against Carolina on Tuesday and 4-0 against the Sharks on Friday night.
While Minnesota is wrapping up a seven-game trip, the Blues will conclude a seven-game homestand with the game on Sunday. St. Louis is 4-2-0 during that stretch.

One final stop

Per NHL Stats, Friday marked the third time in franchise history in which the Wild collected four wins on a road trip of five or more games (also 4-1-1 from Jan. 24-Feb. 9, 2001 and 4-1-0 from Dec. 4-Dec. 13, 2011). A win in Sunday's contest would set a franchise high for wins on a road trip.

Going Green

Jordan Greenway scored his second goal of the season Friday at Anaheim. Since his recall from Iowa (AHL) on Oct. 28, he has four points (2-2=4) in six games.
• The 21-year-old owns five points (2-3=5) in 15 games this season. He was sent to Iowa on Oct. 26 and netted a hat trick the next day, the fourth in team history.
