Eriksson Ek LAK Wild Warmup
The essentials

The Wild Warmup is presented by Bryant Heating and Cooling
The Wild return to the ice for the first time in 14 days when the team plays the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center on Tuesday night.
After a chaotic two weeks, the Wild will be a little shorthanded in Tuesday's game, with five players still on the
COVID-19 protocol list
: Forward Victor Rask, Defensemen Jonas Brodin, Brad Hunt and Carson Soucy, and Goaltender Cam Talbot. Defenseman Jared Spurgeon is also still recovering from an upper-body injury.
Eight players have been removed off the list and added to the active roster, including three new players, Nick Bonino, Ian Cole and Nico Sturm, on Monday.
Additionally, the Wild activated forward Matt Zuccarello and defenseman Matt Dumba from Injured Reserve on Monday afternoon.
It will be the season debut for Zuccarello, who had arm surgery in the offseason. Last season, the forward recorded 15 goals and 22 assists in 65 games. His 37 points was the fifth most on the team.
Dumba, who suffered a lower-body injury on Jan. 30 vs. Colorado, will return as well after missing two games. Dumba leads Wild defenseman with three goals on the season, doing so in nine games.
His return to the lineup is key for the Wild, as there will be some new faces on the blue line on Tuesday.
20-year-old Calen Addison will likely make his NHL Debut. Addison was traded to the Wild from the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Jason Zucker deal last February.
"This is really a lifelong dream come true," he said. "I've waited almost 21 years for this. Any hockey player growing up always wants to play in the NHL. That's their lifelong goal. Just for that to come true and for that to be happening tomorrow is something special. I'm just thankful that they believe in me enough to put me in the lineup here and give me that chance."
In 3 games in the AHL this season, Addison has tallied three assists.
"I talked him today about simplifying his game, he doesn't have to do too much," Head Coach Dean Evason said. "He doesn't have to be Jared Spurgeon out there. He has to be Calen Addison. That's what we're going to ask him to do. We expect him to compete his butt off, like we expect all of our guys to."

Addison primed for NHL Debut at Los Angeles

Dakota Mermis, Matt Bartkowski and Louie Belpedio could also make their season debuts.
Kaapo Kahkonen will get the start in net for the Wild. Kahkonen has a 3-3-0 record this season, with a 2.86 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage.
The Wild will be facing a familiar opponent in Los Angeles. Tuesday will be the Wild's 12th game of the season, yet it's fifth time playing against LA. Minnesota has won three of the four games so far, with two of those wins coming in overtime.
The Kings (4-6-3) have struggled as of late, going 1-1-4 in its last six games, allowing 3.8 goals per game in that span.
Forward Anze Kopitar leads the team, and the West Division, with 17 points on the season. Dustin Brown leads the Kings with six goals this year.
Calvin Petersen has started in goal for the team's last three games, taking over for Jonathan Quick. In eight games this season, Petersen has a 2-4-1 record with a 2.49 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
