SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Minnesota Wild General Manager Bill Guerin today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has acquired center Oskar Sundqvist from the Detroit Red Wings in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2023 NHL Draft.

Sundqvist, 28, has recorded 21 points (7-14=21) in 52 games with Detroit this season. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound native of Boden, Sweden, has skated in 340 career NHL games and owns 116 points (47-69=147) across eight seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, St. Louis Blues and Red Wings. He has also collected 10 points (4-6=10) in 36 career Stanley Cup Playoff matches. Sundqvist also represented Sweden at the 2014 World Junior Championship. He was selected by Pittsburgh in the third round (81st overall) of the 2012 NHL Draft.
