ST. PAUL -- Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher today announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has reassigned forward Zack Mitchell and defenseman Gustav Olofsson to the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Mitchell played in 10 games with Minnesota after being recalled from Iowa on Nov. 9 and made his NHL debut in the Wild's win in Pittsburgh on Nov. 10. The 6-foot-1, 184-pound native of Orangeville, Ont., has one goal in 11 games with Iowa this season. Mitchell led Iowa in goals and scoring in 2015-16, and is in his third season with the Wild after signing as a free agent on March 4, 2014.
Olofsson was recalled on Nov. 27 and recorded a plus-1 rating in 11:40 TOI during the Wild's loss in Vancouver Nov. 29. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound defenseman has registered 12 points (3-9=12) in 21 games with Iowa this season, leading the team's blueliners in scoring and ranking T-14th amongst all AHL defensemen. The native of Boras, Sweden, has appeared in three career contests with Minnesota after being selected by the Wild in the second round (46th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
