The 1976-77 Montreal Canadiens were the greatest team in franchise history, but did the storied squad also have legendary musical tastes?

This spring, five members of the Stanley Cup-winning group are being immortalized as bobbleheads: Guy Lapointe, Steve Shutt, Yvan Cournoyer, and Guy Lafleur during Bobblehead Nights at the Bell Centre presented by RONA, and Yvon Lambert via an exclusive Club 1909 reward offering.

Naturally, to get heads bobbing ahead of the inaugural night on March 15 the illustrious alums compiled some of their favorite tunes from their playing days.
And just like the team that racked up 132 points and only eight losses, the tracks don't miss.
From disco to classic rock to pop, the 13-song playlist has a bit of everything to soundtrack a Stanley Cup run from the glory days.
Sure, Tina Turner's (Simply) the Best was released in 1989 after most of the quintet had already hung up the skates, but in this case we can't argue with the title of the Lapointe-submitted tune.
For more 70s fun, check out the instructional hockey / disco record Lafleur released in 1979, regrettably absent from today's streaming services.
