NASHVILLE -- Experiencing Draft day is a rare privilege for Habs hopefuls; even more rare is experiencing it following a full season in the NHL.

That's the case for Kaiden Guhle,

with his girlfriend for the annual event, in support of her brother Riley Heidt who was among the 2023 class.

Guhle was selected 16th overall by the Canadiens in 2020, during a Draft that was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The defenseman's

from the night have all the hallmarks of the era, from virtual Zoom backgrounds to masks.

So without a chance to live the glitz and glamour of the occasion his first time around, and with the timing right, the Canadiens social team gave Guhle the opportunity to go through the draftee media gauntlet and recreate his photos from three years ago - this time for real.
