Nathan MacKinnon Montreal Canadiens 2018 January 23

MONTREAL--Defenseman Mark Barberio and forward Colin Wilson will return to the Colorado Avalanche's lineup tonight as the team takes on Montreal Canadiens at Bell Centre.
Both players have been dealing with upper-body injuries for the past several weeks. Barberio has been out since Nov. 30 and missed 19 games, while Wilson got hurt on Dec. 21 and has been out for eight contests.

They will take forward Logan O'Connor and rear guard Patrik Nemeth's spots in the lineup, as O'Connor was reassigned to the Colorado Eagles of the American Hockey League while Nemeth is ill and won't suit up tonight.
"I like the energy that those guys bring," head coach Jared Bednar said after today's morning skate. "I like the style of play that Wilson brings up front. A little heaviness, a real determined player, obviously a veteran guy. Coming into a situation like this, Saturday night in Montreal, I think it is good to have some veteran guys back in our lineup.
"Barbs is real excited, he's obviously from the area. To get that energy and juice, as you say, back in our lineup, I think is good."
Goaltender Semyon Varlamov will start in net for the Avs tonight as they make their only trip to Montreal this season.
Below is the Avalanche's projected lineup based on the team's starting alignment from Wednesday's night contest at the Calgary Flames and the additions of Barberio and Wilson. All line combinations and defensive pairings are subject to change.
