After claiming the top seed in the Western Conference, the Avalanche will have home-ice advantage. The matchup between the Avalanche and Predators begins with Game 1 taking place on Tuesday, May 3 at Ball Arena with a scheduled 7:30 p.m. MT puck drop.
This officially marks the second time these two clubs have met in the postseason. During their first-ever postseason meeting back in the First Round of the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs, Nashville advanced past Colorado in Game 6.
Colorado enters this year's postseason matchup having finished the four-game regular-season series 1-1-2 against Nashville. The most recent and final meeting between the Central Division rivals took place on Thursday, April 28 in Denver where the Predators won 5-4 in a shootout.
The Avalanche finished the regular season atop both the Central Division and Western Conference and were ranked second in the league with a 56-19-7 record and 119 points. The Predators placed fifth in the Central Divison and 16th in the league with a 45-30-7 record and 97 points.
