GAME 2: COLORADO AVALANCHE (1-0) VS NASHVILLE PREDATORS (0-1)

The Colorado Avalanche take on the Nashville Predators in Game 2 of the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday, May 5. Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. MT at Ball Arena.

Round 1 Game 1 Recap:

Colorado and Nashville met up at Ball Arena for Game 1. In a fast paced first period, the Avalanche outshot the Predators 18-3 and scored their first five goals of the matchup, including two goals on their first three shots. Colorado scored two more goals in the remaining periods and now leads the series 1-0.
Among the goal scorers for Colorado, Nathan MacKinnon notched two of the seven goals., including one on the power play while Devon Toews, Andrew Cogliano (shorthanded), Cale Makar, Artturi Lehkonen and Gabriel Landeskog (power play) were the remaining goal scorers of the night.
Nathan MacKinnon, Mikko Rantanen and Cale Makar lead the team in a combined nine points (3G, 6A) helping lead the club to its Game 1 victory. In goal, Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves of the 25 shots on goal in the victory.
For the Predators, Matt Duchene and Mikael Granlund led their team with four total points (2G, 2A). Duchene, a former Avalanche player, scored both Predators goals in Game 1. David Rittich made 8 saves on 13 shots through 15:04 minutes before he was pulled. In relief for Rittich, Conor Ingram made 30 saves on 32 shots for the Predators in 44:56 minutes.
