The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have activated goaltender Corey Crawford from injured reserve and reassigned goaltender Lars Johansson to the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs.
Crawford, 31, compiled a 12-6-2 record with two shutouts, a 2.27 goals-against average and .927 save percentage prior to being placed on injured reserve on Dec. 6, retroactive to Dec. 3. The Montreal, Quebec, native posted a nine game unbeaten streak (7-0-2) from Oct. 24 to Nov. 13 and earned "Second Star" honors from the NHL for the week ending Nov. 6.
Johansson, 29, registered a 6-7-1 record in 16 games with the IceHogs prior to being recalled on Dec. 4. He tallied one shutout, a 2.63 GAA and .911 SV%. The Avesta, Sweden, native made his AHL debut on Oct. 14 at Cleveland; he registered his first AHL win on Oct. 21 at Grand Rapids.
