Along with Friday's announcement the the NHL and NHLPA had ratified the Return to Play Plan and a four-year extension of the Collective Bargaining Agreement through at least the 2025-26 season, the league also set forth a tentative schedule for the remaining critical dates in the 2020 calendar, including the Stanley Cup Final, the NHL Draft and a projected start date for the 2020-21 season.

July 13: Phase 3 Training Camps Open
July 26: Travel to Hub City
July 28-30: Exhibition Games
Aug. 1: Stanley Cup Qualifiers Begin
Aug. 10\: NHL Draft Lottery, Phase 2
Aug. 11: First Round of Stanley Cup Playoffs Begins
Aug. 25\
: Second Round Begins
Sept. 8\: Conference Finals Begin
Sept. 22\
: Stanley Cup Final Begins
Oct. 4\: Last Possible Day of Cup Final
Oct. 9-10\
: 2020 NHL Draft

Also outlined in the agreed upon Memorandum of Understanding, the league set a tentative start date for 2020-21 training camps on Nov. 14 and a tentative date for the 2020-21 NHL season to begin on Dec. 1.
