--Chicago will face the Tampa to open the season for the first time since Tampa's inagural NHL campaign in 1992-93. That season opener also took place in Florida, with the newcomers taking a 7-3 victory on Oct. 7, 1992.
-- On Jan. 22, the Blackhawks will face the Red Wings in a division matchup for the first time since April 12, 2013 -- also a shortened season due to the NHL lockout. --The Blackhawks will face Columbus six times in the opening six weeks and Nashville six times over the final six weeks.
-- Chicago will face all seven division opponents over the final four weeks of the season.
--Over 70% of the schedule sees the Blackhawks playing every other day during the season, with 39 games coming on a single day's rest.
