GAME RECAP

CHI: 1, TBL: 0

1st - 7:51 - Dylan Strome (Patrick Kane, Alex DeBrincat)

The Blackhawks controlled much of the game early and found the opening goal just under eight minutes in off Dylan Strome's third tally of the weekend. Patrick Kane worked his way up the boards from the corner and found Strome on the far side of the ice with a backhand saucer pass. The winger put a one-time bid just under the cross bar for a 1-0 lead.

2nd - 1:09 - Taylor Raddysh (Cal Foote, Mikhail Sergachev)

Tampa Bay pulled level early in the second off a broken play. A Cal Foote shot from the point was deflected in front with the resulting bounce left loose in the slot, where Taylor Raddysh whacked the bouncing puck with the backhand, sending a shot knuckling past traffic and then Marc-Andre Fleury for a 1-1 game.

CHI: 2, TBL: 1

2nd - 6:09 - Patrick Kane (Brandon Hagel, Seth Jones)

Patrick Kane gave the Blackhawks the lead back exactly five minutes later, taking a feed from Brandon Hagel just inside the blue line, walking in with space and wiring a wrister over the shoulder of Andrei Vasilevskiy from the high slot for a 2-1 score.

2nd - 15:17 - Victor Hedman (Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov)

The Lightning tied it once again in the second at the tail end of a power play. After moving the puck around the offensive zone, Steven Stamkos fed Victor Hedman at the point for a one-time blast through traffic for a 2-2 deadlock just a second before Alex DeBrincat, just freed from the penalty box, could break up the chance from behind.

2nd - 16:48 - Cal Foote (Anthony Cirelli, Ryan McDonagh)

Just 90 seconds later, the visitors took their first lead of the game. Anthony Cirelli found the rebound of a blocked Ryan McDonagh point blast in the slot and slid a pass to defenseman Cal Foote crashing the slot towards the back post. Foote's quick shot eluded Marc-Andre Fleury for a 3-2 score.

3rd - 1:51 - Victor Hedman (Mikhail Sergachev, Brayden Point)

Tampa Bay started a productive 32-second stretch in the opening minutes of the third as Victor Hedman got his second of the night. Mikhail Sergachev quickly worked a D-to-D pass the width of the zone to setup a Hedman one-timer that beat Marc-Andre Fleury five-hole for a 4-2 lead.

CHI: 2, TBL: 5

3rd - 2:04 - Corey Perry

Off the ensuing faceoff, a defensive mistake from the Blackhawks gave Corey Perry a point-blank chance to make it a 5-2 game all alone on the goal. A Riley Stillman pass across to his partner Jake McCabe inside their own blue line was just out of the reach of McCabe and bounced off the boards right to Perry on the forecheck. He walked in and rang a shot off the post and in.

CHI: 2, TBL: 6

3rd - 2:23 - Mikhail Sergachev (Ross Colton)

Tampa Bay added a third quick strike off a Mikhail Sergachev wrister from distance through a drive-by screen from Mathieu Joseph in the high slot for a 6-2 advantage.

CHI: 3, TBL: 6

3rd - 7:05 - Alex DeBrincat (Dylan Strome)

The Blackhawks got back on the board a short time later as at the point-scoring continued. Dylan Strome kept a puck in along the blue line, walked towards the center of the ice and out a wrister towards goal that Alex DeBrincat was able to tip between the legs of Andrei Vasilevskiy to make it a 6-3 game.
