The St. Louis Blues will meet the Anaheim Ducks for the first time in the regular season on Wednesday night.
The puck drops at 8 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Midwest, FOX Sports GO or KMOX 1120 AM.

BLUES The Blues scored three power-play goals and another one shorthanded en route to a convincing 6-3 victory against the Minnesota Wild in their last game on Saturday night. Jaden Schwartz recorded his 10th career multi-goal game with two goals, while Dmitrij Jaskin, Paul Stastny, Kyle Brodziak and Sammy Blais also scored in the win.
In the last three games, the Blues have scored 13 goals and could see their forward group improve more with the return of Patrik Berglund, who has been skating with the team for several weeks after undergoing surgery in June to repair a dislocated shoulder.
Berglund will be in the lineup Wednesday after missing 24 games.

DUCKS Anaheim has lost four consecutive games (0-3-1), including a 7-3 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks at United Center on Monday night. Chris Wagner scored two goals for Anaheim and Jakob Silfverberg added another, but goalie John Gibson was pulled early in the second period after giving up four goals on 22 shots. Ryan Miller gave up three goals in relief.
"We allowed them to play their give-and-go game," Ducks head coach Randy Carlyle told NHL.com after the loss to Chicago. "We really didn't get involved in the hockey game physically at all. And they just moved the puck around us, and we got frustrated."
THE MATCHUP Last season, the Blues went 2-1-0 in the season series with the Ducks and have collected points in five of their last six games overall against Anaheim. At home, the Blues have won four straight against Anaheim and are 10-2-2 in their last 14 home matchups.
The Blues are 6-1-1 against Pacific Division teams this season.
"They had a tough game last game, but even still, they're in your face a lot," Yeo said. "We're going to need guys that are able to push through that."

HOT VS. ANAHEIM

  • Jaden Schwartz has four assists in his last four games against the Ducks.
    - Vladimir Tarasenko has seven points in his last seven games (four goals, three assists).
    - Jake Allen is 5-0-0 with a 1.40 goals-against average and a .946 save-percentage in five career home games vs. Anaheim.

BLUE NOTES

  • Since Yeo took over behind the bench, the Blues are first in win percentage (39-14-3) and goal differential (plus-52).
    - Blues defensemen have scored 25.6 percent of the club's goals this season. They've scored 21 times - the most of any defensive unit in the NHL.
    - Dmitrij Jaskin has two goals in his last three games. "This is his best stretch of hockey right now," Yeo said. "He's playing with more pace in his game. He's playing with more purpose as far as getting to his game… Hounding pucks, being strong on pucks in the offensive zone and taking pucks to the net, that's what we want to see from him on a consistent basis."
    - Allen is 4-0-0 in his last four starts, posting a 2.48 goals-against average and a .907 save-percentage. His next win will tie Brian Elliott for fourth all-time in franchise history in wins by a goaltender (104).
    - Paul Kariya, who became the latest Blue to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame earlier this month, will be honored before the game and will drop the ceremonial first puck.
    - The first 12,000 fans through the gates at Wednesday's game will receive a Jake Allen bobblehead courtesy of Pepsi.
