With the St. Louis Blues embarking on a four-game road trip to the West Coast that begins with three games in four nights, Joel Hofer is going to get the start on Thursday night in San Jose (9:30 p.m. CT, Bally Sports, 101 ESPN).

Hofer will give Jordan Binnington the night off after he posted a 30-save shutout on Tuesday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blues will have back-to-back games in Los Angeles and Anaheim over the weekend.

"It's pretty busy down the stretch," Blues Head Coach Craig Berube said of keeping both goalies active. "(Hofer) has played well, so we're gonna keep the rotation (going)."

In his first full season in the NHL, Hofer has posted a 3-1-0 record with a 2.50 goals-against average, a .918 save-percentage and one shutout.

SAP Center in San Jose is where Hofer made his NHL debut, making 23 saves and recording an assist in a 5-3 win on Nov. 4, 2021.

Berube said there would be no other lineup changes for Thursday's matchup.

"I like the way we're playing," he said. "The lineup is going to stay the same."
