Behind The B Wins New England Emmy

BOSTON - "Behind The B" Season 6, Episode 12 was announced as the winner of best sports program, post produced or edited, Saturday night at the 43rd annual New England Emmy Awards.

This is the third New England Emmy win for "Behind The B", the Bruins' all-access documentary show that gives fans an inside look at the team throughout the season. "Behind The B" was also named best sports program in 2016 and 2017.

In the winning episode, which aired March 25, 2019, star winger David Pastrnak helps sell 50/50 tickets, Brad Marchand gives fans an inside look at his social media and the team gets a special visit from mixed martial arts legend Conor McGregor for their St. Patrick's Day game.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Boston Bruins and Mad Fish productions were Jeremy Jacobs (Executive Producer), Charlie Jacobs (Executive Producer), Cam Neely (Executive Producer), Matthew Chmura (Executive Producer), Bob Sylvester (Executive Producer/Writer/Editor), Charlie Moore (Executive Producer/Writer/Editor), Brandon McNelis (Producer), Travis Basciotta (Producer), Eric Russo (Producer), Michael Penhollow (Producer/Videographer) and Michael Tolvo (Videographer).

The Bruins also received recognition for New England Sports Network's "Bergeron at 1,000", which took home honors for best sports one-time special. The show featured in-depth interviews with Bergeron and several of his teammates, past and present, as it celebrated the Bruins' forward reaching a career milestone of 1,000 NHL games played. Bergeron (Talent) and Chmura (Associate Producer) accepted the honors on behalf of the Bruins.
