One Boston Day recognizes the resiliency, generosity and strength demonstrated by the people of Boston and those around the world in response to the events of April 15, 2013. This year, Mayor Michelle Wu and the City of Boston have invited community-based organizations and residents to come together for volunteer events and acts of kindness.
The Bruins will wear commemoratory helmet decals for Game 1 and Game 2 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs to honor and remember those impacted by the Boston Marathon tragedy.
TD Garden will be lit blue and yellow from April 14 to April 17 in observance of the 10-year remembrance.
Additionally, Player Development Coordinator Adam McQuaid, Boston Bruins Foundation President Bob Sweeney, Mascot Blades and other members of the Bruins staff will travel to local police and fire stations on Saturday, April 15 to distribute custom-made cookies to first responders across Boston, Cambridge, Dorchester and Watertown.
The Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle, presented by DraftKings, will benefit the Boston Marathon Survivors Fund in conjunction with the Greg Hill Foundation for Game 1 of the 2023 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Tickets can be purchased at BostonBruins.com/5050.
