BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, November 21, that the team has assigned defenseman Jakub Zboril to the Providence Bruins.

Zboril, 21, made his NHL debut in Boston's game at Dallas on November 16, and also skated in Boston's 2-1 win at Arizona on November 17. He has also skated in 13 games with Providence this season, tallying two goals and two assists for four points with 16 penalty minutes and a minus-four rating.
In his first professional season with Providence in 2017-18, the 6-foot, 200-pound defenseman recorded four goals and 15 assists for 19 points in 68 games. He concluded the season with a plus-12 rating.
Prior to joining the Providence Bruins, Zboril spent three seasons with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. He played in a total of 144 games for the Sea Dogs, tallying 28 goals and 66 assists for 94 points with 174 penalty minutes and a plus-31 rating.
The Brno, Czech Republic native was originally selected by Boston in the first round (13thoverall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
