BOSTON, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, February 13, that the team has assigned forward Peter Cehlarik to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Cehlarik, 21, who is in his first professional season with the Bruins organization in 2016-17, made his NHL debut in the team's 4-3 win vs. Vancouver on February 11. He notched his first two career NHL points with two assists in the Bruins' 4-0 win vs. Montreal on February 12. Cehlarik has also skated in 40 games with Providence, recording 18 goals (first on team, ninth in AHL) and 15 assists for 33 points (second on team) with a plus-nine rating. The 6-foot-2, 202-pound forward also leads the AHL with four shootout goals (six attempts).
