The donation marks the fourth consecutive year that Boston Bruins Foundation has donated trees to Operation Service, beginning in 2017. Prior to this years donation, the Boston Bruins Foundation has donated a total of 615 trees.
On Friday, December 4, Bob Sweeney, President of the Boston Bruins Foundation will be on hand from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Fort Devens (21 Quebec Street, Fort Devens, MA 01434). Sweeney is also scheduled to be joined by the Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts, Karyn Polito at 1 p.m. Sweeney and Polito will distribute Christmas trees to local military veterans and families whose loved ones are currently deployed.
On Thursday, December 10, Sweeney will be joined by Bruins alumni Andrew Raycroft from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Hanscom Air Force Base (55 Grenier Street, Hanscom Air Force Base, MA 01731) to distribute additional Christmas trees to military families. The Boston Bruins Foundation has partnered with Mahoney's Garden Center to purchase the trees.
