BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, November 11, that the team has recalled defenseman Jeremy Lauzon from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis.
Lauzon, 21, has played four games with Boston this season, making his NHL debut on October 25 against the Philadelphia Flyers. He has also appeared in eight games with Providence this season, tallying one goal and three assists for four points.
In his first professional season with Providence in 2017-18, the 6-foot-3, 202-pound blueliner skated in 52 games, compiling one goal and six assists for seven points with 38 penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
Prior to joining the professional ranks, Lauzon played four seasons with Rouyn-Noranda of the QMJHL from 2013-17. He played in 200 career QMJHL games, totaling 35 goals and 95 assists for 130 points with 282 penalty minutes and a plus-81 rating.
The Val D'or, Quebec native was originally selected by Boston in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
