BOSTON -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, January 17, that the team has recalled forward Joona Koppanenfrom Providence.
Koppanen, 24, played in his first career NHL game for the Boston Bruins on January 12 against the Seattle Kraken.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound forward has played in 36 games for the Providence Bruins this season, scoring six goals and 14 assists for 20 points with a plus-nine rating. The Tampere, Finland native was selected by the Bruins in the fifth round (135th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
