BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeneyannounced today, November 25, that the team has recalled forward Jordan Szwarz from Providence on an emergency basis, and assigned defensemanRob O'Garato Providence.
Szwarz, 26, has three assists in nine games with Boston in 2017-18. He has also recorded five goals (T-1st on team) and three assists for eight points (T-4th on team) with a plus-seven rating (leads team) in six games with Providence this season. The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Burlington, Ontario native has appeared in 44 career NHL games, totaling four goals and three assists for seven points with 21 penalty minutes.
O'Gara, 24, has appeared in seven games with Boston in 2017-18. He has also produced two assists and a plus-four rating in seven games with Providence this season. The 6-foot-4, 207-pound blueliner was originally selected by Boston in the fifth round (151st overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
