BOSTON -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, April 10, that the team has recalled goaltender Zane McIntyre from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL) on an emergency basis.
McIntyre, 24, has played in eight games with Boston in 2016-17, posting a 0-4-1 record with a 3.97 goals against average and .858 save percentage. He has also appeared in 29 games for Providence this season, compiling a 21-5-1 record with a 1.88 goals against average and .935 save percentage. McIntyre leads the AHL in both goals against average and save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound netminder was also selected to play in the 2017 AHL All-Star Game and was named an AHL Second-Team All-Star.
