BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, October 10, that the team has signed forward Craig Smith to a three-year contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $3.1 million.

Smith, 31, skated in 69 games with the Nashville Predators in 2019-20, recording 18 goals and 13 assists for 31 points with a plus-18 rating.
Smith has reached the 20-goal mark in five of his nine NHL seasons. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound forward has appeared in 661 career NHL games with Nashville, totaling 162 goals and 168 assists for 330 points with a plus-67 rating. Since entering the league in 2011-12, he leads Nashville in games played, ranks second in goals and third in points. Smith has also played in 52 career postseason games, tallying seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.
The Madison, Wisconsin native was originally selected by Nashville in the fourth round (98th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
