BOSTON -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, July 18, that the team has made the following transactions: signed defenseman Jack Ahcan to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $750,000; signed forward Matt Filipe to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $787,500; signed defenseman Ryan Mastto a three-year entry-level contract with an annual NHL cap hit of $850,000.

Ahcan, 25, appeared in six NHL games with Boston in 2021-22, recording his first career NHL goal in the team's win vs. Chicago on March 10. The Savage, Minnesota native also skated in 46 AHL games with Providence in 2021-22, totaling six goals and 17 assists for 23 points.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pound defenseman split time between Boston and Providence in 2020-21, appearing in three NHL games, in addition to posting one goal and nine assists for 10 points in 19 AHL appearances.
Filipe, 24, appeared in 59 AHL games with Providence in 2021-22, totaling seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points. The 6-foot-3, 196-pound forward recorded two goals and three assists for five points in 17 games with Providence in 2020-21. Prior to turning pro, Filipe spent four seasons at Northeastern University from 2016-20, posting 31 goals and 44 assists for 75 points in 136 NCAA games.
The Newton, Massachusetts native was originally selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the third round (67th overall) of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.
Mast, 19, skated in 59 games with the Sarnia Sting of the Ontario Hockey League in 2021-22, totaling nine goals and 22 assists for 31 points. The Bloomfield Hills, Michigan native added two assists in six OHL playoff games.
The 6-foot-5, 213-pound defenseman appeared in 58 OHL games with Sarnia in 2019-20, recording one goal and 10 assists for 11 points.
Mast was originally selected by Boston in the sixth round (181st overall) of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
