BOSTON, MA -Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, December 11, that the team has signed forward Jesse Gabrielle to a three-year entry-level contract.
Gabrielle, 19, is in his second season with the Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League (WHL) in 2016-17, and has compiled 19 goals (leads the team) and 11 assists for 30 points (tied for first on the team) with 32 penalty minutes and a plus-nine rating in 25 games.

In 2015-16, the 6-foot, 205-pound forward skated in 72 games with Prince George, registering 40 goals (led the team) and 35 assists for 75 points (second on the team) with 101 penalty minutes (third on the team). At the conclusion of Prince George's season, Gabrielle joined the Providence Bruins on an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) and skated in three AHL games.
Over his four-year WHL career with the Cougars, Regina Pats and Brandon Wheat Kings, Gabrielle has appeared in 214 games, recording 94 goals and 81 assists for 175 points with 320 penalty minutes and a plus-13 rating. He has also played in 21 WHL postseason games, posting five goals and seven assists for 12 points with 35 penalty minutes.
The Moosomin, Saskatchewan native was selected by the Bruins in the fourth round (105 overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
