BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, June 28, that the team has signed forward Noel Acciari to a two-year, one-way contract worth an average annual value of $725,000.
Acciari, 25, appeared in 29 games with Boston in 2016-17, recording two goals and three assists for five points with 16 penalty minutes. He also posted one goal in four postseason games. Acciari skated in 30 games with Providence in 2016-17, tallying six goals and eight assists for 14 points with 11 penalty minutes and a plus-eight rating. The 5-foot-11, 205-pound forward has skated in 48 career NHL games with the Bruins over the past two seasons, compiling two goals and four assists and 24 penalty minutes. He played 45 games in his first professional season with Providence in 2015-16, registering seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points with 19 penalty minutes and a plus-12 rating. Acciari also skated in three postseason contests with Providence, scoring one goal and two assists with four penalty minutes and a plus-one rating.
The Johnston, Rhode Island native was signed by Boston as a free agent on June 8, 2015.
