BOSTON – Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, March 8, that the team has signed defenseman Parker Wotherspoonto a one-year NHL contract extension through the 2024-25 season with a cap hit of $800,000.
Wotherspoon, 26, has appeared in 32 games with Boston this season, recording six assists. The 6-foot-1, 195-foot blueliner has skated in 44 career NHL games with the Bruins and New York Islanders, totaling seven assists.
The Surrey, British Columbia native was originally selected by the New York Islanders in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
