BOSTON - Boston Bruins General Manager Don Sweeney announced today, July 8, that the team has signed forward Peter Cehlarik to a one-year, two-way contract with an NHL cap hit of $700,000.

Cehlarik has spent the past three seasons with the Providence Bruins, accumulating 43 goals and 56 assists for 99 points in 137 games. During that time, the 23-year-old has also played 37 games with Boston, notching five goals and five assists for 10 points.
Last season, Cehlarik skated in 20 games for Boston, tallying four goals and two assists for six points. He appeared in 53 games with Providence in 2018-19, producing 12 goals and 26 assists for 38 points, which ranked fourth on the P-Bruins.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound Zilina, Slovakia native was originally selected by Boston in the third round (90th overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
