BOSTON -The Boston Bruins announced today, April 6, that the TD Bank Small Business Takeover initiative will continue during this Thursday's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs at TD Garden.

For the Small Business Takeover, TD Bank will grant all possible advertising "real estate" at TD Garden to a local small business for the duration of the game. This includes the 360 LED screens, dasher boards, video walls, roster card and TD Bank corporate suite, in addition to digital support from Bruins social channels.
Thursday's Small Business Takeover will be given to Black Earth Compost.
"Supporting small businesses like Black Earth Compost out of Gloucester is important to the Boston Bruins and TD Bank, and we're thrilled to continue the Small Business Night program at TD Garden," said Chris Johnson, VP of Corporate Partnerships for the Boston Bruins. "Over the past six years, this program has provided invaluable support to our local organizations, and we're excited to carry on this tradition with TD Bank."
Black Earth Compost is a local business that started in Gloucester, Massachusetts, that has operated as one of the leading full-service compost companies since its creation in 2011. With over 30 trucks on hand, they are dedicated to collecting food scraps from residents, schools, supermarkets, colleges, and more, all across eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. They are also the only vertically-integrated company that composts the material too, returning it to customers and selling it in garden centers across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire.
"We are thrilled to feature Black Earth Composting in our second TD Small Business Takeover as we begin Earth Month and continue to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future," said Sheryl McQuade, Regional President of New England, TD Bank. "TD Bank operates with the belief that small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy, and we enjoy this opportunity to celebrate a local enterprise through access to all of the advertising space within TD Garden to showcase their business in front of the thousands of fans in attendance and viewing the game's broadcast."
TD Bank's Small Business Takeover initiative began in 2017 as a way to promote New England small businesses on a larger scale at TD Garden on Bruins game days. Previous participants of the initiative include Energy Shield of New Hampshire, Day's Jewelers, The Barkery, Bay State Cruise Company, Sunbug Solar, and more.
