BOSTON - The Boston Bruins will host Hockey Fights Cancer Night presented by Beth Israel Lahey Health on Tuesday, March 30 vs. the New Jersey Devils at 7:00 p.m.

As part of Hockey Fights Cancer Night, Todd Angilly performed the national anthem in Winthrop, MA at the home of Kelly Lounsbury. Lounsbury was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in June of 2020. To raise awareness and to support their mother, her son's youth hockey teams joined together to wear teal ribbons with Kelly's initials on their helmets, along with teal stick tape and laces. Kelly has also worn her favorite Bruins Jersey, a Hockey Fights Cancer warmup, during her treatments.
The ceremonial puck drop will be performed by five-year-old Kathryn Watersof Troy, VT. Waters was diagnosed with a brain tumor last December. Her favorite Bruins players are Patrice Bergeron, Brad MarchandandDavid Pastrnak.
Lavender, which represents awareness for all forms of cancer, will be incorporated into the game in several ways. The team will wear lavender Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys while taking warmups. Bruins coaches, management, as well as NESN and 98.5 The Sports Hub broadcasters will all be wearing lavender Hockey Fights Cancer ties. Bruins players will be using lavender stick tape during warmups at Tuesday's game.
The Boston Bruins Foundation will be raffling and auctioning off the player-signed lavender warmup jerseys online following the game. Fans can visit

The 8-Spoked Salute recipient will be Mike Carnell. The 43-year-old former Bruins staff member is a Marine veteran who has helped raise awareness and money for veteran assistance groups like

. The Boston-native has stage four liver and colon cancer, and his treatments began in January.
