The Boston Bruins selected defenseman Dustyn McFaul with the 181st pick (sixth round) on Saturday afternoon at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft in Dallas.
"To be honest I didn't really have any expectations," said McFaul. "I got a phone call from my agent and that was probably the best phone call I've ever got."

McFaul compared his playing style to a longtime Chicago Blackhawks defenseman.
"I like to say I play a similar style to a [Brent] Seabrook or someone, a couple years back when he was producing at both ends," said McFaul. "You just try to model your game after the best in the game. You pick a style that you're good at, and you try to style it to the best of your capabilities to that."
