Harrison, the 6-foot-2 forward from London, Ontario, is adjusting quite well to his new team. In his first 12 games with Windsor, Harrison checks in with 10 goals and seven assists for 17 points after leaving a mark on the Oshawa Generals as well, having posted 16 goals and 17 assists in his 27 games played.
Harrison's most recent success came on Jan. 29 when he notched two goals in Windsor's 9-4 win over the Soo Greyhounds. But his most impressive showing with the Spitfires came on Jan. 21 when he posted a career-high five-point night, putting up a hat trick and two assists vs. the Barrie Colts. The Spitfires went on to win the game 8-7 and Harrison was awarded OHL performer of the night.
Harrison, the lifelong B's fan, could credit some of his recent success to his new coach, two-time All-Star Marc Savard, who played in Boston from 2006-11. This is Savard's second year as coach for the Spitfires following a successful first season as he guided the team to a 44-17-4-3 record for 95 points, which was the fourth-best total in franchise history.
