7th player sway

BOSTON - NESN announced today that Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman has been named the winner of NESN's 7th Player Award. Swayman was selected by a fan vote on NESN.com. NESN's 7th Player Award is an annual award presented to the Bruin who exceeded the expectations of Bruins fans during the season. The award was presented to Swayman by NESN's play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards prior to the Bruins home game at TD Garden against the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, April 28.

Swayman, 23, has appeared in 40 games this season, posting a 23-13-3 record while posting a 2.37 goals against average and a .915 save percentage. The 6-foot-3, 197-pound netminder leads all rookie goaltenders (min. 15 games played) in goals against average, save percentage, wins and shutouts (3).
The Anchorage, Alaska native has played 50 career games with the Bruins since he was drafted by Boston in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft (111th overall) with a career record of 30-16-3, including a 2.19 goals against average and .921 save percentage.
In addition to the 7th Player Award trophy, Swayman will receive $5,000 to donate to the charity of his choice. He will be donating to The American Heart Association.
Past recipients of NESN's 7th Player Award currently on the Bruins include,Charlie Coyle(2020), Charlie McAvoy(2018), David Pastrnak (2017, 2015) and Brad Marchand (2016, 2011).
The 7th Player Award Sweepstakes winner is Elizabeth Mackey from Pelham, NH. Mackey is an office manager for Diversified Site Services, LLC, a Service Disabled Veteran Small Business working on federal projects.
