Rod Brind'Amour(Carolina Hurricanes, Metropolitan Division), Pete DeBoer(Dallas Stars, Central Division) and Bruce Cassidy(Vegas Golden Knights, Pacific Division) were also selected as All-Star head coaches. Under the All-Star selection process, the head coach of each team with the highest points percentage in each of the four divisions will guide their respective All-Star rosters.
Montgomery has led the Bruins to a 32-4-4 record through 40 games this season, with the Bruins leading the National Hockey League in points with 68. In that stretch, Boston has yet to lose a game in regulation at home, posting a 19-0-3 record at TD Garden under Montgomery's guidance.
Under Montgomery, the Bruins currently sit in first place in goals against per game (2.13) and second place in goals for per game (3.85). The Bruins lead the National Hockey League in penalty kill (85.8 percent) and also have the league's third best power-play (28.2 percent).
With Montgomery behind the bench, Boston's starting goaltender, Linus Ullmark, ranks among the top of the league in almost every goaltending category as he's produced a 1.87 goals against average and a .938 save percentage. Ullmark will join Montgomery in representing the Bruins in Florida.
