BOSTON - The Bruins welcome the Arizona Coyotes to TD Garden on Tuesday night in search of their third straight victory. Boston is coming off a 4-point weekend, courtesy of wins of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators, and will be looking to continue that momentum back on home ice.
"We had a couple pretty good games, but we can't get caught up in that," said Brad Marchand. "We had a tough one in Florida, even the Tampa game I thought we played pretty well. I think it's a really good team. We have to keep it going, we can't get caught up in a couple wins. We need to make sure we continue to do things the way that allowed us to play well the last couple games.
"We're gonna go through stints where we're really good and times where we're not. It's about how we rebound from every game. We can't get caught up in those games and let them go and focus on having another good one tonight."

Marchand discusses matchup with Coyotes

The Bruins have won their last 13 games against the Coyotes, dating back to Oct. 2010 when the Black & Gold opened their Stanley Cup championship season in Prague.
"I think we just happened to be good on those nights, but those games have nothing to do with the game tonight," said Marchand. "They're gonna come out and have a good game and we're gonna try to match that and hopefully it goes our way."

DeBrusk Still Sidelined

Winger Jake DeBrusk will miss his third straight game with an upper-body injury. Coach Bruce Cassidy said DeBrusk was set to visit with specialists on Tuesday and that the team would know more about his status following those meetings.
"Probably have a good idea coming out of that where he's at," said Cassidy. "Clearly, he's not playing tonight. Day-to-day from there. If he gets diagnosed [with a concussion] in any way shape or form, then he'll go into that protocol, probably have a better timeline. As we've seen in the past, some of those come around quicker than others so it's probably better not to speculate."

Making Strides

Cassidy said that Zdeno Chara (left MCL) and Patrice Bergeron (rib/sternoclavicular) are back skating on their own. Both will hit the four-week mark since their injuries in the coming days, but are still a ways away from returning to game action.
"I don't know when the next update will come," said Cassidy. "I'd kind of lost track of the exact timeline, but it was a Wednesday in Colorado for him. Bergy was Friday in Dallas, so maybe there's something coming there, but I know they're not skating with the team, so to say they're close to playing I don't think is accurate either."
Rookie blue liner Urho Vaakanainen, out with a concussion since Oct. 23, had resumed skating, but has recently been suffering from the flu.
"He's coming off of a concussion not feeling great then he gets the flu, so you want to make sure you don't conflate the two," said Cassidy. "He's back around and hopefully skating and can advance and hopefully get into practice with somebody."

Taking One for the Team

Sean Kuraly engaged in his fourth career fight on Sunday night in Ottawa, dropping the gloves with Senators defenseman Ben Harpur in the second period. Kuraly took the brunt of the bout, but drew a penalty that led to Marchand's tying power-play goal.
Kuraly was sporting a black eye and swollen nose at Tuesday's morning skate, but will not wear any extra protection on his helmet for tonight's game. The pivot also revealed that he suffered a couple of broken bones in his nose on Harpur's final uppercut.
"I wasn't planning taking an uppercut, honestly, but that's the way it goes sometimes," said Kuraly. "I didn't really have a good grab on him. I guess you learn. He kind of threw them off pretty quick. I just looked back at the video. My hand that was holding him, I still had my glove on, so I didn't have a really good hold on him."
