NEW YORK/TORONTO -- The National Hockey League and National Hockey League Players' Association today announced the postponement of its 2020 international games.

The NHLPA and the NHL remain committed to maintaining and growing our international presence. We hope that our fans overseas understand the need to postpone the 2020 games, but we look forward to being back with them in 2021.

Editor's Note: The Bruins were set to open the 2020-21 regular season against the Nashville Predators at O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic to headline the 2020 NHL Global Series.

The Bruins and Predators were also to complete their training camps in Europe and each play in an exhibition match as part of the 2020 NHL Global Series Challenge. The Bruins were to report to Mannheim, Germany and play an exhibition game against Adler Mannheim at SAP Arena, while the Predators were to report to Bern, Switzerland, and play an exhibition game against SC Bern at PostFinance Arena.
