BOSTON -The Boston Bruins and the National Hockey League have revealed that 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Game MVP David Pastrnak has donated a 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid to Tufts Medical Center nurse Kaitlin Hagstrom.
As part of a partnership with the NHL and Honda, Pastrnak originally won the Honda CR-V Hybrid after being named the MVP of the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Game in St. Louis, Missouri. Pastrnak began working with the NHL, Honda and Bruins to identify an individual he felt was deserving of this generous gift. As COVID-19 halted normal daily life in Boston and around the rest of the world, Pastrnak wanted to show his gratitude for the many frontline healthcare heroes who are selflessly devoting themselves to battling this virus.

One such hero is Katlin Hagstrom, who has been working on the front lines of the pandemic in her role at Tufts Medical Center, providing emergency care for patients battling COVID-19. Despite the risks associated with these duties, Hagstrom was identified by her colleagues as "someone who has calmly and consistently risen to the occasion and is a steadfast beacon of hope that reassures not only her patients but also her peers."

In addition to the Honda CR-V Hybrid, Kaitlin's four-year-old son Shaun, who is just beginning to learn to skate, received brand new hockey equipment as part of the surprise.
Last week, Hagstrom received a special video from Pastrnak, who was eager to share the exciting news. Media are invited to download photos and video from that day using the links below.
Honda is the Official Vehicle of the NHL® and the NHL's official automotive partner 13 years strong. Honda is also the title sponsor of the NHL All-Star Game where a Honda vehicle is awarded to the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP).
