BostonBruins.com - David Pastrnak took home his latest honor over the weekend when he was named the Czech Player of the Year for the fifth consecutive season. With the victory, the 25-year-old broke the record of four straight held by NHL legend and former Bruin Jaromir Jagr.
The winger, who hails from Havirov, Czech Republic, is now tied for second overall in wins (five) in the "Golden Hockey Stick" award's history with Dominik Hasek. Jagr holds the record with 12 victories.

Pastrnak notched 48 points (20 goals, 28 assists) in 48 games during the shortened 2020-21 campaign.
Pastrnak took first place in the voting with 492 points, just edging out Tampa Bay forward Ondrej Palat (472 points). Former Bruins center David Krejci finished third in the voting with 338 points. Krejci, who will return to play in his native Czech Republic this fall, won the honor in 2013 and ranks third in the award's history behind Jagr and Hasek with 11 top-10 finishes.
The Czech Player of the Year award was first given out in 1969 and is voted on by Czech journalists and hockey coaches from various levels of competition.
