BostonBruins.com - David Pastrnak is getting used to making history.
On the heels of becoming the Bruins' first winner of the 'Rocket' Richard Trophy as the NHL's top goal scorer, the 24-year-old was awarded the Golden Hockey Stick as the Czech Player of the Year on Thursday.
The Havirov, Czech Republic, native captured the honor for the fourth consecutive year, matching the record held by NHL legend and former Bruin Jaromir Jagr. Pastrnak now ranks third in overall victories - tied with Vladimir Martinec - behind Jagr (12) and Dominik Hasek (5).
Pastrnak led the NHL with a career-high 48 goals (tied with Washington's Alex Ovechkin) and ranked fourth in scoring with 95 points - also a career high - in 70 games. He was well on his way to 50 goals and 100 points when the 2019-20 season was suspended on March 12 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Pastrnak received 51 out of 52 first-place votes and finished with 519 points, beating out Chicago Blackhawks rookie Dominik Kubalik (30 goals, 46 points) and Philadelphia Flyers forward Jakub Voracek (12 goals, 56 points).
Bruins center David Krejci (13 goals, 43 points) finished seventh in the voting with 177 points. The 34-year-old won the award in 2013 and ranks third in the award's history with 10 top-10 finishes.
