Brad Marchand noted that just because the B's are in the middle of a challenging stretch of games, doesn't mean the team is approaching them any differently. Over the next two weeks, the B's will see Vegas - currently in first in the Pacific Division - and Colorado - the defending Stanley Cup champions - two times each.
"A lot of people look at the teams around the league and say certain games are statement games, but I don't necessarily agree with that." said Marchand. "Any team can win any night, you see it across the league all the time where the last-place team will beat the first-place team and it happens."
For Marchand, whether it's a first or last place team, it's all about being prepared. "Every night it's about being consistent and being a good, professional team, being ready to play," he said. "Each night is a statement about how we're going to be prepared, if we're learning from past mistakes, if we we're maybe sleepy, or in the second or the third, whatever it is, and how we continue to be better, how we continue to improve on our game."
