BUFFALO -The Bruins closed out their final long road trip of the season and returned home with a 3-2-0 record after a 7-0 drubbing of the Sabres on Sunday afternoon at KeyBank Center.
The two losses came at the beginning of the trip, as Boston fell to the Red Wings and the Blackhawks, but the Black & Gold bounced back with three consecutive victories across a four-day stretch to end the five-city journey with a winning record.
"To battle back, I think that says a lot about our team," said Charlie Coyle. "And you want to try to win every road trip…so to come back with three wins and win the road trip, 3-2, that was a big game."
