BOSTON - Tuukka Rask remains day-to-day. The netminder did not take part Monday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena, as his teammates prepared for a Tuesday night tilt against the Minnesota Wild at TD Garden.
Rask has yet to skate since starting Thursday's night game against New Jersey (Oct. 20).
"Nothing's changed - I don't know what the situation is for [Tuesday]," Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien said following Monday's skate. "I can't give it to you because no decision has been made on him."

With Rask not practicing, the Bruins recalled Malcolm Subban from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis. Zane McIntyre had been assigned on Sunday after serving as Anton Khudobin's backup for Saturday's game against Montreal.
Early in practice, Khudobin left the ice with an injury, so Subban served as the lone goaltender. A blue plastic shooter tutor covered the net at the opposing end.
"I have no update on him," Julien said of Khudobin. "I've not heard. Obviously he got injured and couldn't practice. That's why I have nothing; I haven't heard anything back yet."
Rask has missed two games with soreness this season, first in Toronto on Oct. 15, and then on Saturday (Oct. 22) against Montreal. Khudobin backstopped Boston for both of those games.
"I mean, this is hockey," said Julien. "We deal with it on a day-to-day basis with injuries, and you wait for the news and you go about doing your job as it's required."
"You know, if we have to make some adjustments and we have to have some personnel, we'll deal with it when we have more of an update."

Subban Gets the Call

Subban is in his fourth pro season with the Bruins organization. Overall, the 22-year-old has played in 99 games, posting a 45-31-15 record. In 2015-16, he went 14-8-5 before suffering a fractured larynx that ended his season in February.
He's had a slower start to the season than he would have liked - going 0-3-1 with a .846 save percentage - but had a better outing in Providence's overtime loss to the Albany Devils on Sunday, making 30 saves.
"I feel like I'm battling; I feel like that's the biggest thing right now, is just to battle," said Subban. "You know, it isn't the first time I've faced adversity; it's not going to be the last, so I don't feel too down on myself right now, to be honest."
When it comes to Julien, the bench boss just wants his netminder to do his job, no matter who's between the pipes.
"As a coach, there's only one thing that matters to me and that's stop the puck," said Julien. "I don't care how you do it; just stop it. I'm not a goalie coach, so as a coach, I'm dependent on him making the saves and the goalie coach working on the technique."
"If I get the call, I'll be ready to go," said Subban.

Spooner Back at Center

When the Bruins came to the rink on Monday, Ryan Spooner found out that he'd be in the middle for practice. He ended up centering Matt Beleskey and Jimmy Hayes. Riley Nash had been centering that line; he rotated in during practice.
"Well, you know the answer to that," Julien jested with media, when asked about the benefit of moving Spooner back to center. "When the third line has zero on the scoreboard, you need to create some offense somehow. "
"This is not about Ryan Spooner not doing the job on the wing - I thought he had a decent game and he did score last game. But, maybe to create a little more offense there. I think that [third] line's just been flat and we need a little bit more throughout our lineup."

McQuaid Getting Close

Adam McQuaid has been cleared for game action, and it appears he's getting close to a possible return on Tuesday night against the Wild.
McQuaid technically was cleared prior to Saturday's game. He had skated in just two full practices back with the group at that point. He is still listed on Injured Reserve.
"I just haven't made any decisions based on [Tuesday] - there are a lot of things that are up in the air right now and I've just got to juggle those things," said Julien. "And who knows? Hopefully [Tuesday] morning, I get a better picture. If not, it'll be a game-time decision."
"I wish I could have a better answer for you guys, but I have no answers to give you right now. Too many things up in the air."
McQuaid was paired with Torey Krug for Monday's practice. Zdeno Chara and Brandon Carlo remained together, while Joe Morrow and John-Michael Liles were a pair. Rob O'Gara and Colin Miller rounded out the eight defensemen.
"I'm looking forward to getting back into the lineup hopefully as soon as possible here," said McQuaid. "The excitement level's high for me, but also for everybody to get back out after the loss; you always have that drive, you want to get back out there."
