NASHVILLE- Jeremy Swayman made 28 saves for his second shutout of the season and five different players scored as the Bruins capped their two-game siblings trip with a 5-0 victory over the Predators at Bridgestone Arena on Thursday night.News and notes from the win in the Music City:

Shutting It Down: Despite the five-goal margin of victory, coach Jim Montgomery did not believe the Bruins played their stingiest defensive game. As such, Boston's bench boss believed that Swayman was Boston's best player against the Predators.
"We gave up a lot of odd-man rushes tonight," said Montgomery. "I didn't think we were on top of our game. I think that if our goaltender wasn't as good as he was, it would've been a tight game. We had some fortunate bounces that went in the net. Two went off of them into their own net.
"Our best player was Swayman because they had a lot of good things and he was patient on his feet and made a lot of good shoulder saves, gloves saves, and he didn't give up any rebounds."
Swayman has now made two career starts in Nashville, registering shutouts in both contests with a perfect 70-for-70 showing. The netminder made 42 stops in his first game against the Predators in December 2021.
"It's definitely one you circle on the calendar. It's a really fun city to visit. And to share it with her today, that's super special," Swayman said as his sister Beth stood beside him.
"They played a good game and I'm just really happy with the two points…it's really hard to get wins in this league let alone a shutout. It's a team effort. The guys in front of me made it possible. Couldn't have done it without them. It's really special to get it with them."
Beth Swayman was thrilled to see her younger brother perform so well to close out a memorable few days.
"It was great. It was fun to watch. I'm always nervous in the beginning but once they kept scoring, I was like, 'All right, we're good,'" she said. "It's been so much fun. Everyone's great. So much fun. Such good vibes for everyone."

Back on Track: After dropping four of five heading into the trip, the Bruins certainly got themselves going in the right direction with a strong showing across their wins in Dallas and Nashville.
"I liked the effort," said Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron. "The last game [in Dallas] was a playoff atmosphere and we came out on top in a hard, tight checking game. Today, I thought we capitalized on our chances; we played a good, sound hockey game. Obviously, it wasn't perfect at all times. Sway kept us in the game with a few saves. It's a great road hockey win and a great road trip."
"We're trying to stick to the process," Bergeron added. "I think these last two games are more how we want to play, especially last game. We want to build from that. We're aware that there's gonna be some dips in the season and it's about being aware and committed to rectifying things sooner rather than later. I was pleased with this road trip."
Breaking Through: The Bruins failed to score on their first power play of the game, stretching their drought to 0-for-21, before finally breaking the streak with Bergeron's marker during their second man advantage of the night.
Hampus Lindholm started the play after picking up the puck below the Boston goal line and swinging the net. As he approached the B's blue line, he threaded a perfect feed through the neutral zone to Bergeron, who broke in all alone on Nashville goalie Juuse Saros and ripped one over the netminder's glove to give Boston a 3-0 lead at 8:06 of the second.
"Great breakout. Coach [John] Gruden designed a great breakout," said Montgomery. "Obviously, the execution by Lindholm and Bergeron was excellent."
The Bruins finished the game 1-for-4 on the power play, but felt that they made some progress as they continue to work on finding consistent success on the man advantage.
"We had some good movements," said Bergeron. "We created some momentum out of it. You're not always gonna score on it but if you're at least able to create some chances and give your team a boost, I thought we did that.
"On that play, I'm definitely shooting knowing that there's back pressure coming at me. I'm not sure where that is and how much time I have. You don't want to miss on a good look like that."
