Patrice Bergeron:
The No. 1, top tier, absolutely-on-point costume goes to the one and only Patrice Bergeron. Bergeron being Maverick makes a lot of sense. Both the Captain and Maverick command the room, set the tone, and never leave a man behind. Not to mention, they are both sell out attractions in their own right. Much like Tom Cruise, Bergeron is timeless. And like Miles Teller, he is always adapting, and I'm sure the Cap can throw a good beach football.
Charlie McAvoy, Matt Grzelcyk , Mike Reilly:
Charlie McAvoy and his fiancé Kylie as Hagrid and Bellatrix Lestrange along with Mike Reilly (Harry Potter) and Matt Grzelcyk (Dumbledore) and his girlfriend Esme (Dobby) was the complete package. There is no question here why these costumes make sense, especially for McAvoy as Hagrid. Hagrid is loyal, kind, and always looking out for his friends. He is notably compassionate and his generosity never goes unnoticed. Hagird had the difficult job of groundskeeper for Hogwarts, and much like McAvoy, kept any unwanted creators away at all costs. This costume was also a great tribute to the actor who played Hagrid, Robbie Coltrane, who passed away on October 14th.
David Pastrnak:
It is no surprise Pastrnak and his girlfriend Rebecca were turning heads in their Elastic Heart music video costume. There is no question this costume was unique, but much like Pastrnak, we really never know his next move. What I enjoy most about this costume, is the commitment to the character. Much like the way he plays on the ice, 100 percent effort went into this. From the blonde wig to the bodysuit - and not to mention the pose - it was all perfect. Not to dig too deep, but Sia said she made the music video so intense because she is rarely moved, and she wanted this video to be striking, making heads turn. Much like Pastrnak on the ice, from his dangles to his arrival fits, he would definitely get Sia's attention.
Charlie Coyle:
Charlie Trunchbull and his wife Matilda crushed their costumes. Unlike some of his teammates, Charlie could not be more opposite of his charater for the night. The big, smelly, mean principle that is Miss Trunchbull is a polar opposite of everything there is about No. 13. The commitment to the costume however was perfect. Coyle had the exact "1972" sweatshirt and the wig was just as gross as the movie, and paired with his wife Danielle as Matilda, wearing the classic blue dress it was a picture perfect Halloween moment.
