BOSTON – The Bruins are fit for a Centennial.
On Saturday night, the Bruins debuted their three new uniforms for the 2023-24 season during the Centennial Takeoff event inside the JetBlue hangar at Logan Airport. Per the club's press release, the sweaters pay "homage to the club’s 100-year history with both unique and nostalgic highlights. The home and away jerseys carry elements of recent black-and-gold sweaters, but with a festive twist, featuring sparkling “Centennial gold” in place of the traditional Bruins gold. Meanwhile, the alternate jersey, which features brown and gold, is inspired by vintage sweater designs from the club’s origins."
Here's a look back at the evolution of the Bruins' uniform, which has included the most iterations in the history of North American professional sports.
