The entire Bruins team will wear special-edition military jerseys during warm-ups, which will be auctioned off by the Boston Bruins Foundation following the conclusion of warm-ups. Fans can text "BRUINS" to 26278 to participate in the auction, which will run until 5 p.m. on November 28.
Fans can enter to win an online raffle for Taylor Hall'swarm-up jersey until 5 p.m. on November 28 at bruinsraffles.com. An in-game raffle will be held for AJ Greer'sjersey, with tickets available for purchase at the Boston Bruins Foundation table in Section 5.
Select Bruins players have purchased over $26,000 in tickets for active military members and veterans to attend Thursday's game and will meet with those service members following the conclusion of the game. Players who have donated tickets include Brandon Carlo, Connor Clifton, Charlie Coyle, Nick Foligno, Derek Forbort, Trent Frederic, Matt Grzelcyk, Charlie McAvoy, Mike Reilly, Craig Smith,and Jeremy Swayman.
Bruins coaches, management, and broadcasters will wear flag pins to show their support for Military Appreciation Night. Members of the Bruins staff have also assembled care packages for overseas military members to support the USO's Care Package Program, which provides essential items, snacks, and select gifts to service members stationed far from home. The 8-Spoked Salute, presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery, will recognize retired Master Sergeant Stephen O'Connorof the Massachusetts Air National Guard. An East Freetown, Massachusetts native, O'Connor spent 38 years in the service and was deployed numerous times across the globe, and was one of the first military units to arrive on scene at the World Trade Centers on September 11. For his service, he has been awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal and Combat Readiness Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters.
The ProShop powered by '47 will increase its year-round 10-percent military discount to 20-percent for all service members and veterans with a valid military ID. Additionally, the ProShop will have military-themed merchandise available for purchase including jerseys, hats and t-shirts, as well as limited-edition Operation Hat Trick merchandise.
Fans will have the opportunity to fill out "I Salute" cards and present them during a moment of recognition during the second period. The cards will be available to fans in the concourse.
The Boston Bruins Foundation 50/50 Raffle, presented by DraftKings, will support the national nonprofit Home Base, an organization dedicated to healing the invisible wounds of war for all veterans, service members, military families, and families of those who have fallen. Home Base provides world-class direct clinical care, wellness, education and research, all at no cost and regardless of the era of service, discharge status or geographic location. The program was founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and the Boston Red Sox.
