Vladar Impresses with 50-Save Night for Atlanta

BostonBruins.com- Bruins goaltending prospect Dan Vladar - currently playing for the Bruins ECHL affiliate, the Atlanta Gladiators - turned away an astounding 50 shots en route to a 4-1 victory over the Orlando Solar Bears on Sunday.

Vladar was drafted in the third round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft as an 18-year-old from the Czech Republic. Vladar, now 20, appears to be rounding into form. His 50-save performance, which included 24 third-period stops, boosted his save percentage to .915 through 11 games for the Gladiators.
The 6-foot-5 backstop has also made a pair of appearance in the AHL for the P-Bruins this season. In those two games, Vladar posted a sterling .949 save percentage, stopping 56 of 59 shots, and recording a goals against average of 1.46.

P-Bruins Rolling

The P-Bruins recent win over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers marked their fourth consecutive victory, tying their longest winning streak of the season and vaulting into second place in their division. They have outscored opponents 13-6 during the streak.
Austin Czarnik and Jordan Szwarz, both of whom have seen action for Boston this season, were recently placed on a line together. The pair has proved to be a dynamic force, combining for a plus-11 rating in the previous two wins over the Binghamton Devils and Bridgeport Sound Tigers. The duo accounted for four of the eight Providence goals scored in the pair of victories.
Szwarz is tied for the team lead in goals (7) despite playing in merely nine of 21 contests for Providence. Czarnik has appeared in 15 games for the P-Bruins, and the 5-foot-9 forward is tied with Szwarz for the team lead in goals (7), while also leading the squad in assists (11) and points (18).
Providence will look to extend their winning streak to a season-high five games when it welcomes the Hartford Wolf Pack to the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday at 7:05 p.m.

Donato Unstoppable

Ryan Donato entered December leading Harvard in goals and points, having recorded at least one point in each of their first eight games. His dominance continued against Quinnipiac Friday, as the junior scored a hat trick and finished plus-4 to lead the Crimson to a 6-2 win.
The following day, Donato was again a key contributor, scoring a goal and an assist in a 5-2 victory over Princeton. The Scituate, Mass., native has notched 8-7-15 totals through 10 games. His 1.50 points per game is tied for fourth in the nation. The explosive scorer will be back in action at the end of the month, when Harvard takes on UMass Lowell on Dec. 29.
